To sum up, ways of proving your point of view may be different, from a peaceful dialogue to a polemic battle or even a fight. An intelligent person with a developed critical thinking can learn to conduct an apodictic dispute.
There are so many ways of influencing our mind, making us do whatever somebody else wants us to do that it is highly relevant to have our own opinion. More than that, we must have knowledge and proficiency to defend our point of view. Furthermore, the methods of making a point are widely used not only in everyday life but also in advertising and trading. So, we should certainly know and be able to use them.
Having analyzed various methods of making a point we may conclude that the best way is to make your opponents explain their opinions. Though we can meet a person who believes that there is the only correct point of view in the world and it is his/her point, but most people try to avoid conflicts. That is why it is necessary to conduct dialogues and discussions where you can prove or change your ideas. The art of making a point should be taught since the early childhood, first – by parents in the family, then – by teachers in educational institutions. So, some tasks are offered for their implementation in teaching practice:
 making up dialogues on a given model; pre-reading and after-reading tasks beginning with Yes/No-questions and ending with Why-questions; using expressions which prove their point of view help to share it with the others; writing some sentence starters for the students could complete them to prove their opinions; presenting an argument for the teens to find errors or inconsistencies in reasoning; recognizing and appraising arguments in a story, an article, etc.;writing different essays, articles, stories and scientific papers; organizing group discussions and team debate projects.

INTRODUCTION. RELEVANCE OF THE TOPIC
It is human nature to have a point of view. For many centuries philosophers, psychologists and other researchers have been trying to figure out, what a point of view is and how people can prove their point of view.
In the modern world the ability to make a point becomes more and more relevant. The power to insist is very much appreciated in our business world. The ability to defend one’s point of view, as well as to convince others of their own rightness, is the quality of a leader who does not want to be driven by other people’s desires, but wants other people to fulfill his will.
Today in the world of developing technologies it is necessary to be able to present oneself correctly and to uphold one’s views, to competently discuss, disarm the opponent in a dispute. Someone prefers to shout down an opponent, someone, being incapable of dialogue, prefers not to defend their views and misses a position. It remains only to make a choice: whether you join the position of majority or want to learn the art of dialogue, properly argue and beat your counterparts in their own game.
But this talent to convince someone of your rightness, to influence the consciousness of people is a whole art. And happy is the person who has mastered it. The one has a huge advantage in all areas of life related to communication and negotiations. And in order to master this art, first of all, you need to learn how to divide the situations in which we fall into two main categories.
The first one can be called the situation of civilized polemics. The second category is a polemic battle. If people want to establish the truth, agree on something, then they need to use the first category of polemics. However, there are situations when someone is eager to defeat the opponent.
Civilized people should use the first strategy more. Moreover, the art of proving one’s point of view must be taught at educational institutions.
